Buttermilk Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
3/4 c.  butter
2 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs

Sift together:
3 3/8 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt

1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Cream the butter. 
Add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy. 
Blend in eggs, one at a time. 
Alternately add the sifted ingredients with the buttermilk/vanilla. At this point be careful not to overmix. It is best just to fold in the ingredients. 
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
